Manufacturing Engineer - Sr

Job Summary Provides support for new launch development and day-to-day technical issues for the assembly process in the plant with a focus on scrap and downtime reduction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Insures initial product designs are compatible with NAL manufacturing capabilities and standards. 2. Provides guidance to department personnel in the detailed development of all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including the Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Process Flow Chart, and Process Design Sheet. 3. Assists in implementation of Value Analysis and Standard Parts Time in new product design. 4. Verifies that detailed engineering micro-schedules are in place to ensure that all engineering controlled program milestones are completed on time. 5. Coordinates the relationship between Tool, Equipment, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the procurement and on-time delivery of all of the necessary tooling and equipment. 6. Communicates any new processes that are necessary to provide requirements on time (per the PM generated macro-schedule) to Process Engineering. 7. Assists in planning for adequate floor space for all areas of manufacturing including Work-in- Process (WIP) storage, tool storage, assembly line location, etc. 8. Ensures the on-time implementation of accurate Engineering/Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routings as established by the New Product Planning Report (NPPR). 9. Ensures "20 Tools of Process Control" are created, accurate, and posted at each process. 10. Develops process and equipment improvements to facilitate quality and productivity improvements, scrap reduction, and safety. 11. Provides technical support, training, and guidance to the engineering group Responsibilites Requirements 12. BS in Engineering, IndustrialTechnology, or a related discipline 13. 5 to 8 years of related manufacturing experience 14. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: a. Analytical and problem solving skills b. Technical writing skills c. Organizational and planning skills d. Leadership skills e. Knowledge of standards such as Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) or American Standard Technical Methods (ASTM) f. Business software packages, including MS Office g. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills h. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
