Pipeline Technician - Muscle Shoals, AL

American Midstream Partners, LP is a growth-oriented limited partnership formed to provide critical midstream infrastructure that links producers of natural gas, crude oil, NGLs, condensate and specialty chemicals to end-use markets. American Midstream's assets are strategically located in some of the most prolific onshore and offshore basins in the Permian, Eagle Ford, East Texas, Bakken and Gulf Coast. American Midstream owns or has an ownership interest in approximately 4,000 miles of interstate and intrastate pipelines, as well as ownership in gas processing plants, fractionation facilities, an offshore semisubmersible floating production system with nameplate processing capacity of 100 MBbl/d of crude oil and 240 MMcf/d of natural gas; and terminal sites with approximately 6.7 MMBbls of storage capacity.
Objective
This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the pipelines and gathering systems; and ensuring safety and compliance are being met.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide regular maintenance of pipelines and metering stations
Maintain cathodic protection equipment
Perform service to valves and valve actuators
Integrity pipeline management tasks
Participate in public awareness meetings
Patrol pipeline Right-of-Way surface conditions
Locate buried pipes as part of the One Call program
Operate natural gas compressor stations
Maintenance natural gas odorization equipment
Understand and adhere to safety requirements when working jobs
Use proper tools and equipment to perform tasks
Other tasks as required

The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position include:
The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside
The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity
The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level
The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body
The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
Approximately 5% of anticipated travel
Education and Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one to two years of related work experience, three years preferred
Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required
Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast paced and growth oriented environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
