Our Opportunity North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering - Supervisor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and supervisor and coordinate the activities of the manufacturing engineering department, which includes support for new launch development and day to day technical issues for the assembly process.
Your Priorities While working within the fast paced, automotive environment, you will provide assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of the manufacturing engineers and technicians Coordinate timely input of the BOM/routings, and help to ensure that the production rates and machine cycle times and available for input for all new products Assist in planning for adequate floor space for assembly line location, storage, and work in process (WIP), as well as the preparation of Process Failure Mode and Effect Analyses (PFMEA, Process Design Sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, and other Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities Coordinate in all continuous improvement activities within area of responsibility, and ensures participation of direct reports these activities as needed Assists in the management of the department, as well as the development of annual departmental goals, headcount, and budgets Support and oversee department KPIs as established by management, and make recommendations concerning scrap and downtime reduction in order to help meet KPI goals Evaluate departmental training needs, schedule employees for training, and/or conduct the training of manufacturing engineers and engineering technicians in accordance with their overall responsibilities within the department Your Background Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline 6 to 8 years or related engineering experience including 2 years of manufacturing engineering and 2 years in a lead, supervisory, or management position Team Member Benefits World class health insurance plans Award winning 401k plan Relocation assistance Paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays, etc) Hybrid work schedule opportunities Supplier discounts (wireless, computer, vehicle, etc.
